Last week Celina Jaitly posted a request on Facebook, looking for a driver, "to drive her Merc." Well, she isn't the one. I'd alerted friends, family and neighbours a month ago, and still no luck.

Today being the Taxi strike in Mumbai, I am stuck at home. I don't drive (which is a good thing for other people that do) Even Meru cabs aren't plying. And the last time I used local transport was about two decades ago, and today would be a bad day to start. 

 I am sure there will be no traffic on the streets, what with the 40,000 cabs and rickshaws off the roads. I am also missing Karzzzz preview. Really now, I wouldn't be surprised if Himesh Reshammiya's release trow has anything to do with this strike. The cabbies and the rickshawallas are his biggest fans. I actually considered calling him to ask them to call off the strike.... but then better sense prevailed. Guess the cities roads need a day off too. Maybe this will finally get people to consider car pooling.
