That the BCCI have decided to appeal against Gautam Gambhir's one-match ban is true indication of two things. One is the establishment's resistance to accept any decision of the International Cricket Council, who supposedly runs world cricket. This time, despite the player pleading guilty. Secondly, there is this obsession of not facing up to reality. If a player has crossed the limits, the BCCI should be alarmed and support a punishment no matter how many runs he has scored in his last outing....

JUST as cricketers sport black armbands to pay respects to departed players, how would it appear if they wear coloured bands to celebrate good things?
